Where’s my National Treasure?

August 6th, 2007 Leave a comment

Once again Benjamin Gates (Nicolas Cage) is on they way trying to solve mystery from ages long past. This time around Gates and his team are looking to discover the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. To be more precise, they want to uncover the mystery within the 18 pages missing from John Wilkes Booth’s diary. In order to do so, they have to obtain the President’s Book of Secrets which is said to contain all kind of answers to unsolved mysteries – the truth behind the JFK conspiracy or the famous Area 51, for instance. Either way, I really loved National Treasure and I bet I’m gonna like the sequel too.

I’ll admit the first National Treasure was a decent romp, but I won’t give my hard-earned dollars to another Nic Cage movie again.

Because of Ghost Rider and Next? I could understand that.

That, and he needs to do more Valley Girl and Raising Arizona type movies.

To my mind, his best movie still is The Rock. Well, that said, I liked the first National Treasure too and I really hope they don’t screw this one up.
