How far would you go …

August 13th, 2007 Leave a comment

… to protect your family? That’s the question Kevin Bacon has to answer in Death Sentence. Obviously, Nick Hume (Bacon) comes to the conclusion that under the given circumstances there are no limits. Protecting one’s family even justifies killing others, as shown by the trailer. The film should be in theaters on 31st August, 2007. As usual, there’s a nice trailer available over at Apple.

I don’t know about you but I think I’d turn into something like Nick Hume myself. I do understand his motivation and I know it’s against the law. On the other hand, neither the law nor I are without flaws. I don’t think I’d ever kill a human being out of vengeance but doing so for self-preservation and the protection of my family sounds perfectly reasonable. Well, that’s quite something to ponder about if I should ever come into a position like that. I seriously hope I never will. According to the crime rate in my country I shouldn’t fear.

Going all vigilante would get a normal person killed or jailed. Then again, Kevin Bacon is no normal man.

That’s for sure. What I really like about him is the fact that he doesn’t shirk from playing really bad characters.
