Soon, there’s a new Hulk in town

Thanks to my friend Dave – still only a reader and no poster on this blog – who contacted me today I now know more about the upcoming movie than ever before. I don’t wanna lose more words than necessary, so here we go: The movie is called The Incredible Hulk and it’s some kind of sequel to the first movie. ‘Some kind’ because we got ourselves a whole different cast this time around.

Edward Norton is Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Liv Tyler will star as Betty Ross. As far as the plot is concerned, it almost seems like a fresh start if you catch my drift. A slate wiped clean. But still … it seems to continue where Ang Lee’s film left off. Anyway, go check out the known facts if you’re nosy. Be warned, though: Serious spoilers ahead! Anyway, let’s hope they did a good job with the Abomination.

I always treat new actors and new direction the same way I treat new artists and new writers for comic books: with an open-mind.

I hope they do it right. I did not like Ang Lee’s Hulk, and thought how they combined “Thunderbolt” Ross and the Absorbing Man was a travesty.

Indeed, Ang Lee’s Hulk wasn’t what a comic fan would describe as “fitting”. And it wasn’t nowhere near the Hulk I know from reading comics. Let’s see how the Abomination will turn out.
