Ever since I heard that there will be a Wolver­ine spin-off I was con­vinced that this will be the real thing. Espe­cially since they got Hugh Jack­man to star as Logan once again. Also in for the fun are Sabre­tooth, Colonel William Stryker and Sil­ver Fox. Now Vari­ety reports that Ryan Reynolds has joined the cast and is set to play Dead­pool, a high-tech mer­ce­nary. Dead­pool appar­ently shows signs of insan­ity and is known for his black humor. Per­son­ally, I think Reynolds is able to han­dle both parts well enough. Still, they did better!

They finally brought Gam­bit to life! Accord­ing to the report Tay­lor Kitsch will star as the enig­matic thief. Appar­ently, Fox and Mar­vel have tried to add Gam­bit to the X-Men fran­chise for a long time but they could never find a way to give him enough screen time.
