Brain Assassin

When I first saw Crank I knew that I was in for a wild ride. And I knew that I would buy this film on DVD as soon as it was avail­able in stores. Here’s the plot for those of you who haven’t seen it up to now: Chev Che­lios, pro­fes­sional assas­sin, learns that he has been injected with a deadly poi­son called “The Bei­jing Cock­tail” and the only way to stay alive is to get the anti­dote. Unfor­tu­nately, Doc Miles advises him that he absolutely has to keep his adren­a­line level way up to slow the poi­son down. That is the moment when the action starts and even though quite a lot of it is absolutely insane, the movie is funny to the extreme.

Two days ago, a few details regard­ing the cast and the plot of the sec­ond install­ment have hit the web. Obvi­ously, Jason Statham is back to once again slip into the role of Chev Che­lios. I for one won’t mind that Che­lios died in Crank. Promise. Any­way, Amy Smart is back too and will, I guess, star as his girl­friend. Here’s the story:

In spite of hav­ing fallen a mile from a heli­copter at the end of CRANK, Chev Che­lios faces a Chi­nese mob­ster who has stolen his nearly inde­struc­tible heart and replaced it with a battery-​​powered ticker that requires reg­u­lar jolts of elec­tric­ity to keep working.
