The good news first: The popular TV show Heroes will return to NBC on September 15 and according to SciFi.com it will return big. Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios, said that it will be a three-hour event. They will kick off with a one-hour “clip show” to bring the audience up to date and then they will air “a massive two-hour Heroes film”. Chapter Three will be subtitled “Villains”. If you can’t wait until fall, never fear: NBC is planning to offer up Heroes webisodes in July.
Now let’s move on to the bad news: Heroes: Origins is officially dead. For now. Silverman explained that they were taxing their creative team to do too much around that and so they decided to drop the idea. He went on: “We wanted 35 Heroes [episodes] and 12 Heroes: Origins, each of which was supposed to be a mini-movie and backdoor pilot. We reached far and challenged our people, and we decided it was better to focus on keeping the Heroes mothership as strong as possible.”
The guys from IESB.net have gotten their hands on some new information regarding the sequel to the Blockbuster Transformers. According to them, the Decepticons will get help in the form of Constructicons. This group of robots consists of six single robots that are known for their ability to merge their bodies and minds together to form the gigantic Devastator. Just imagine this really big robot on the big screen! Holy Shit. That would be absolutely awesome, especially since the sequel will be more ambitious visually.
In addition to this piece of information, the IESB has been given human character/casting breakdowns which can be found in the article. You can deduce a few hints as to the storyline employed if you look closely. I won’t get into details here because I think all the information provided in this report should be taken with a grain of salt. It may not be the true thing after all. It could well be, though, so enjoy thinking of an insanely huge robot on rampage in Transformers 2.
Finally! Yahoo has the full trailer for Hellboy II: The Golden Army and it is available in HD too! Sadly, it’s only available at Yahoo, a site known not to always work properly. I hope you are lucky today! What can I say about the trailer? It is awesome! Fantastic! Epic! Absolutely mind-blowing! And it most definitely proves that Guillermo del Toro was involved in Pan’s Labyrinth – some of the creatures present in the full trailer seem to come straight out of it. I just can’t wait until July 11th.
Browsing the web, I stumbled upon a site that claims to have new information on what appears to be a new advertisement campaign for the Playstation 3. Apparently, the two pictures in question are somewhat different from the usual ads. Both pictures portray highly stylized scenes which create an awesome and monumental impression. The ads focus on a statue of one children on each of the posters – one male and one female – that stands in the midst of what seems to be a dull scenery. Certainly skillfully and artfully done, I like it a lot. But you should take a look for yourself:

I have to admit, I definitely love this style. It is quite reminiscent of one of the very first PS3 games that ever was: Resistance: Fall of Man.
