When a friend sent me the link to this hilarious clip, I just couldn’t resist. I absolutely had to post this. It is so funny, every Star Wars fan should have seen this. Anyone remembers Janet Jackson’s “Nipplegate” which was, of course, an absolutely unintentional wardrobe malfunction? Almost four years after the 2004 Super Bowl indecency incident Mia Lingerie, a quality lingerie company, has the solution for showcasing it’s wares: they simply let them vanish into thin air, thanks to Photoshop.

That’s right, you didn’t miss something. In order to demonstrate how seamless its lingerie really is, they put on quite a show as evidenced by the picture I’ve kindly provided for your viewing pleasure. This is part of an advertising campaign in Mecixo where it is OK to show naked women as long as there are no nipples to be seen. Actually, I think it’s kind of funny to see how they nailed that “seamless” part.

I’ve got a whole lot of nothing going on. Literally. Unfortunately, I can’t write about that, can I? Instead I rather write about an initiative that deserves support. It’s about fighting stupidity on the internet. Of course, one might involuntarily think of Don Quixote when reading the former sentence. Don’t blame me, I’m just the messenger. All ye nerds, listen up! Here’s a real life-saver for you, giving your relationship a new twist. Jennifer Chowdhury has demonstrated her master’s thesis project with the flowery name Intimate Controllers. These controllers work by building game controllers into undergarments which allows games being played by couples through physically touching one another. The reasoning behind that work is quite simple:

“You can’t fall in love with a gamer and expect him or her to give up gaming to spend more time with you.”

In order to circumvent some of the pitfalls in a geek’s love life, she came up with these controllers. The technology is subordinate to the relationship, a tool to bring you together and get you talking. Pretty sophisticated if you ask me, but hey, there may be some people out there who really are in need of something like that. Wired Magazine has the scoop.
